In 2010, God put a dream in my heart to write, but I had no idea where to start or how. I began writing blogs and email newsletters for other companies and in 2015 I published a 10-day devotional for a missions trip I participated in. But my writing dreams still seemed out of reach. I joined groups and writing communities, only to feel overwhelmed and discouraged, unsure of how to step into my calling and purpose to write. All of that changed one day when I felt God say "no more waiting, it's time to write." I was still overwhelmed. I still had no idea how to start. But this time, I asked God to partner with me, and He helped me learn to build a blog, start a magazine, and self-publish 10 devotionals and 2 children's books. I simply said "yes" to God and have held on to Him every step of the way!
Now, God has put a new dream in my heart: to help other women take their first steps to write and publish their stories, devotionals, and Bible studies. I know firsthand how overwhelming and scary it can be to write and publish with God. I also know the battles that come with answering the call to write. And I want to help women overcome these challenges.

HeartStance is more than a writing group. I found a community of like-minded women who support and encourage each other. I joined the "Write Your Story" experience over the summer and attended the fall retreat. I left the retreat with six new friends. They have helped me find the courage to step into my calling as a writer.
